Ann Buhl, CMP, CMM is the Meetings, Events and Planning Senior Manager for The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond where she has the opportunity to lead a diverse team of industry professionals and doesn’t believe successful careers just happen they have to be planned and executed like a successful program or event.

Ann is a Past President of MPI-VA and has over 30 years’ experience in the Hospitality and Event Industry. She has been a featured speaker at various Administrative and MPI chapter annual conferences to discuss how to reach your professional, client and program goals and partners with Virginia Teach Continuing Education Facilities to provide meeting certification courses.

 

  Tyra Hilliard
Ph.D, JD, CMP
 

Tyra Hilliard, PhD, JD, CMP is driven by a mission to bridge the gap between knowledge and action. Her career has included management roles in hotels, travel, meetings and events, law, catering, and academia. All of the diverse roles in her career have culminated in a passion for educating the meetings and hospitality industries about crisis preparedness and liability issues.

   

She has been invited to share her irreverent approach to life, business, and hospitality with groups worldwide. Published and widely quoted on legal and crisis management issues in academic and industry publications, Tyra also teaches college courses in business and hospitality management at the College of Coastal Georgia.

Tyra has been honored for professional achievement as an Educator by the Professional Convention Management Association and received national recognition for her contributions to best practices initiatives with the Convention Industry Council and Meeting Professionals International.

She is one of only two people in the world to have a law degree, a PhD in Hospitality, and a CMP.


 

  Tara Liaschenko

Tara Liaschenko, CMM is an award-winning professional who has earned an impeccable reputation for creativity and excellence in the event and meeting planning industry.  She is the recent recipient of the 2015 MPI Global RISE Award for Member of the Year.

Ms. Liaschenko is the Founder and Creative Executive Officer of The Link Event Professionals, Inc., a global company based in Tampa, Florida dedicated to planning services covering all aspects of meetings and events.

An accomplished speaker, Ms. Liaschenko also facilitates board, staff, and client retreats, and in recent years, her company has expanded to facilitating strategic planning and leading business development planning for corporate and nonprofit clients.

An active member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), she has served the Tampa Bay Area Chapter Board in a number of board positions including Chapter President.  Expanding her commitment to MPI, she has served and chaired numerous councils, judging panels, task forces and committees and currently serves on the Diversity & Inclusion Taskforce. 

With strong community commitment, long-standing relationships with ethical and reliable vendors, and adept knowledge of production, Ms. Liaschenko is at the forefront of her industry consistently delivering her clients successful meetings and events.


 

  Timothy Moore  

Timothy Moore is multi-generational relations expert and an accomplished author and speaker with over three decades of experience in marketing, sales, and training. He is the owner and principal of the sales consultancy “Dancing Elephants” Sales Training and is Editor of the on-line daily magazine Carolina Business Connection in North Carolina’s Research Triangle region

 

Moore’s experience in sales and training spans over thirty years and numerous Fortune 500 companies, including PepsiCo, Gillette, Dow Chemical, and L’Oreal USA.  At Generational Insights, Moore is part of a team that has become the leading voice on the impact of generational differences on sales, marketing, management and hiring and retention. He combines the research of Generational Insight with his own professional experience, in addition to observations of client practices, to provide generational strategies and solutions for this rapidly changing world.

Moore holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Elon University in North Carolina, where he served as student body president. He is a board member of the Elon Alumni Association and a member of Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities. Recently he was honored by Elon University as an alumnus who has achieved scholarly distinction in his field and inducted into the national honor society of Phi Kappa Phi.  Tim is considered a member of the “Global Network of the Best and Brightest!”

When not working, Tim spends his free time traveling the world, obsessively playing his harmonica or learning to play his mandolin and fiddle. He is one of about 80 million Baby Boomers who are still busy changing the world. 


 

  Arnold Sanow

Arnold Sanow, MBA, CSP works with companies, associations and governmental organizations to build stronger customer and workplace relationships by improving communication, everyday interaction, engagement and relationships.  Arnold accomplishes this through keynotes, training, facilitations, retreats, coaching and consulting.

 

 

He has delivered over 2,500 interactive, entertaining, engaging, thought provoking and content rich paid presentations to more than 500 different companies, governmental  and associations throughout the world.He is a frequent guest in the media to include the CBS evening news, ABC world

He is a frequent guest in the media to include the CBS evening news, ABC world morning News, Wall St. Journal, USA Today, Washington Post, Time Magazine, etc. He is also a former adjunct professor at Georgetown University. Arnold was recently named by Successful Meetings Magazine as one of the 5 best "bang for the buck" speakers in the USA and was voted best speaker of the year by the Washington DC Meeting Planners International Association as well as by his peers at the National Speakers Association, Washington DC chapter.


 

  Tracy Stuckrath

CHC, CFPM
 

Tracy Stuckrath, CSEP, CMM, CHC, CFPM works with organizations worldwide to understand how food and beverage (F&B) programs affect risk, customer experience, company culture and the bottom line. As a speaker, consultant, trainer and event planner, she is passionate about inclusive F&B events that satisfy all attendees' needs.

She is a 2016 Meetings Industry Change Maker and US delegate to Slow Food's Terra Madre Salone del Gusto, a 2015 Top 25 Women in the Meetings Industry, and a 2014 Meetings Industry Trendsetter.

 

Based in Atlanta, Tracy serves on the Slow Food Atlanta board of directors and is chair of the FARE Walk for Food Allergy Atlanta. She is an active member of MPI, National Foundation for Celiac Awareness, Food Allergy Research & Education and the PCMA. 

A graduate of NC State University, she also maintains Certified Special Events Certification, Certified Meetings Manager, Certified Health Coach, ServeSafe® Allergen and ServeSafe® Food Protection Manager certifications.


                                                                                              Howard Feiertag
CHA, CMP,
CHSE,CHME                                                         

 

Howard Feiertag, CHA, CMP, CHSE, is a hospitality veteran, with more than 50 years of service to the industry. 

He is currently on the faculty of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, in the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management, where he teaches Hospitality Sales as well as Meetings and Convention Management. 

Howard’s industry certifications include CHA, CMP and CHME, and he has been recognized with lifetime achievement awards, as well as lifetime memberships in HSMAI and MPI. The Convention Industry Council inducted Howard into the Hall of Leaders in recognition of his lifetime contributions to the industry. Prior to joining Virginia Tech he spent 29 years in the hospitality industry with his last employment as Senior Vice President of a hotel management company operating 60 hotels.

Howard started his hospitality career in 1962 when he was recruited to become the first Convention Bureau Manager in Charlotte, NC, following that he was recruited to become the first Convention Bureau Manager in Orlando, FL. His career continued in hotel sales, food and beverage, and hotel operations with hotel management companies.
