Event horror story: A hurricane imploded on the oceanfront during a 150-person VIP Beach Reception that I was hosting & planning all of the details while I was at the local conference in Norfolk. I had coordinated bus transportation that got stuck on the highway, rain that blew away my tent & décor, and a chef that prepared amazing food for 50 people…not 150. Ultimately it went well, the bus finally made it (2 trips worth), the chef got creative and pulled out another 100 servings of similar items and the hurricane finally passed and everyone got to enjoy the calm after the storm. I learned a lot from this experience including: it’s the quality of the people on your team that make disasters into successes and people have long memories of how you recovered during a crisis.

Hobbies: Gardening, Yoga & exploiting Happy Hours all over the world!

Husband/Wife/Kids/Pets: Husband of 4 years (together for 16), no kids but several Morkie pups thank goodness!

Pet Peeve:  Tedious activities of all kinds.
